Squinting in the Sun
The sun shines today in Western Washington. Glory be!

(By the way, my statcounter at the very bottom of this page indicates that I'm reaching the magic 100,000 mark--I took a picture of it at 99,273. If you happen to be my 100,000th visitor, save a picture of the statcounter and let me know.)Update: You have to scroll way, way, way down to see the actual statcounter. Sorry about the confusion!

And you say you are not a rock star!
Which webcam is that? They're all dark right now, and I know it's not the Snoqualmie cams, since I always check those before driving to the west side.
Gorgeous, gorgeous. I hope the whole weekend is like that for you!
I can't wait till Chinook opens. 'Tis my favorite pass.
Beautiful picture!!!
I'm #99273, btw.
Just realized I was looking at the picture of your statcounter, and not the actual statcounter, which is at # 99719. (hehe) I wonder how many of us commentors did the same thing?
I did that, I'm number 99726. you're getting there!
I'm 99805. I used to visit Mt. Rainier area when I was a kid living in western Washington but spent a lot more time in the Olympics area...I lived in a small town on the southern edge of the rain forest. Is there a webcam of Hurricane Ridge?! LOL! Hmmmm...I can keep track of my daily and monthly visitors over on Bravenet but I got rid of the on-my-journal-header counter months ago and could kick myself now for not keeping it. I've been averaging between 11,000-12,000 readers per month for a long time now so I don't even have a clue how many have come by. You know what's ironic? All my life I wanted to be a published writer but thought it would be as a novelist. Never could figure out a plot line that went anywhere tho, haha! I published a poem just before my mom died, then didn't write another poem until this year. Writing is a weird, weird thing. Never did I ever dream I'd keep a public journal and so many wonderful people would stop by, especially the ones who've become such great friends around the world because of it. I'm getting long-winded, I know...but I can't believe how owning a computer has opened up my world. I've been pen palling since I was 8 years old and now 99% of it is by email but now I can even chat with friends in Australia or wherever. Used to be I'd write a letter to that country and, even with airmail, it'd be two or three weeks before I'd get a letter back. Mind boggling, simply mind boggling.
Missed it 100127!
Congratulation! The sun is a wonderful gift, would'ntcha say? ;)
