Oh Really?
Now I remember why I stopped allowing anonymous comments. I wake up to things like this in my email box, which frustrates me. Who is this? Why doesn't she leave her address so I can respond to her lengthy comments? Does it feel good to some people to vent on other people's blogs? Am I expected to answer or just feel scolded? I don't feel penitent when I receive criticism like this. I just feel annoyed by people's assumptions and self-righteousness.
Anybody want to comment about this? (Scroll down to the last anonymous comment.)
Please, people! If you want to have a dialogue, you have to leave a name, an email address, and the link to your own blog. Otherwise, I truly will think you are just a troublemaker without a sense of humor. Lighten up!

I don't think her comments were so bad. She was just telling about how things are for her. She probably didn't leave info in case she might lose her job or something.
Monika, she ends her comments with this: So try to have a little more respect when visiting a facility. This type of thing--strangers on the internet telling me how to behave or what to do and assuming that I was acting disrespectfully--well, that annoys me. I was completely respectful to the employees, even though they had the customer service skills of orangatans. (And yes, I have worked in customer service, childcare and retail.)
I think she should expect frustrated parents as part of the job and if she can't deal with them in an appropriate 'customer's always right' manner, she should seek other employment. CEC is like bad tripping with squealing kids.
My kids' birthday balloons were stolen at CEC. They were tied to a high chair. And a local man was recently tasered by the cops for not paying for his salad bar at CEC.
Her comments were understandable, *to a point*. I can see Prize Person as being a thankless job, but a lecture from her wasn't right.
Well now you tell me when I have a kid way to old to visit CEC. The poster made some good points, that I have never thought about before. Personally I will be nicer to CEC people when it comes time to take the grandchildren. Sorry CEC people.
so what's your response?
beth--what's my response to what?
some people can't miss an opportunity to rant, but the fact that they did it with anonymnity means they do not get a response in my book. the poster may have had a valid point or two, but the presentation didn't lend itself to being paid much heed.
I havent blcoked anonymous commenters on my blog but when they comment I immediately ditch the comment. That seems more effective then just not allowing them, in my mind anyway. Lol Anonymous commenters are often more arguementative because of going anonymous.
Writing an anonymous comment is rude and in poor taste. ALWAYS! No matter how good the message. It's cowardly. There now I guess one doesnt have to wonder where I stand on the issue! :)
Mel, you know, your witty reply to this commenter? come on, I'm so curious to know what you would say.
