What Thursday Means to Me
I failed to plan dinner for tonight. Why do I always forget we have to eat dinner on Thursdays?

I just realized something. Blogging for me feels like coming to a party late. Seems like everyone and their dog blogs already. They have existing blog rolls and links, they already have big old archives, they own domain names, everyone knows who is "cool" and who is not, and basically, I'm sitting in a corner (actually hovering near the food table) trying to be invisible, all the while, wishing I could sidle up to the laughing crowd in the middle of the room and join in the fun. Except I'm kind of shy. And I came late.
But I write, so I have a ticket in the door. And that's better than a sharp stick in the eye.

I know what you mean. But you're WAY better off than some of us and you're SO good at this. So that means You're SUPER COOL!
I'm WAY late. I don't even have a blogroll yet. I haven't figured all this stuff out yet!
But, I see you as one of the people "in the middle of the room". You, are someone with substance...not just a flashy party outfit.
I was having a moment...I see that I am blog rolled, under the correct title now and everything! But you can see that I don't even have a blog roll yet. I have not gotten to that!

Hi again, Mel. :) I think these folks are right. You're sequestering yourself needlessly. *heh* Breakin' out the big words now, WATCH OUT! *lol!*
I've had my blog for almost 2 yrs and I LOVE it. I had to pick the brains of all my techno-savvy friends to figure things out..but I finally got the basics down.
I still don't have it all figured out, but I do *blush* have a domain. So I could be cool. *heh* Those are about more trouble than they're worth, fyi.
I really enjoy your writing. I am not sharp enough to post witty, engaging posts everyday, so sometimes folks get stuck with an annoying rant or a boring recount of my day. However, it's MY BLOG, so WHO CARES? ;)
You just keep on. You're doing great and besides, it's more fun at the food table anyway!! *woo-hoo!*

I always thought that eating on Thursday nights was overrated anyway.
Your blog is so real. I love it. It makes me want to have a bunch more kids, and suffer more. Now THAT'S something to feel proud of!
hey...i just started "blogging" today...i thought it had something to do with menopause until about a week ago...loved your writing...and your choice of reading material as well...i was happy to find out that you found solace in your high school library as a teen...i am a high school librarian and am known throughout the school as the "geek magnet"...also as the "freak librarian, queen of darkness and cute spotted puppies"...did you have a cool librarian in h.s?....or was she one of those "cross-between darth vader and maud" characters? thanks for sharing your writing.
